How many Km’s do I get with my All Day Car Rentals hire?
With car hires of 3 days or more, you get unlimited Km’s. Car rentals of up to 2 days will get 400 FREE km per day. Any extra mileage is charged at $0.25 per Km. We place an area limit to where you can travel in our hire vehicles around the Cairns area: As far North as Cape Tribulation, as far South as Mission Beach and inlands onto the Atherton Tablelands and as far West as Atherton, Mareeba and Ravenshoe. Other areas by prior arrangement.
Does All Day Car Rentals charge for additional drivers on my car hire?
We allow you to have 1 driver on your car hire contract included in the contract price. One additional driver can be added to the car rental contract at a rate of $5 per day, with the excess rate applicable to the age of the youngest driver.
Do All Day Car Rentals provide baby and child safety seats with my car hire if needed?
Yes, we do. We provide baby and child booster seats to be included in your car hire at $5 per day. Please note that the Queensland State Law states that the installation of baby seats is the sole responsibility of the parent or carer. We can provide you with the booster seats but the responsibility for installation is yours.
Is a credit card required to hire an All Day Car Rentals vehicle?
No, a credit card is not required to hire an All Day Car Rental hire vehicle although conditions apply. We do accept a cash bond if you don’t have a credit card. Upon returning the car hire vehicle this bond is refunded to you.
Is it possible to return my All Day Car Rental Cairns hire vehicle to your Cairns office outside of office hours?
Yes, it is possible. When you pick up the car we will instruct you on how to do so.
I am arriving in Cairns in the early hours of the morning. May I collect my All Day Car Rentals hire car early?
In certain circumstances, you may collect your car hire vehicle in the early hours but it must be with prior arrangement.
Is it possible to drop off my car hire vehicle in a different town other than Cairns?
No. All our cars must be returned to our Cairns city office unless prior arrangements have been made to leave the car at Cairns airport or you have booked a one-way rental.
Are there any age limits for renting an All Day Car Rentals Cairns hire car?
You must be over 21 years old. We do not rent to P plate drivers.
Do you do airport or hotel pickups?
Due to the pandemic, we are currently not providing airport or hotel pickups.
Can I use a debit card instead of a credit card to pay for my All Day Car Rentals Cairns car hire?
Yes, it is! Most car rental companies in Cairns do not allow debit cards but All Day Car Rentals Cairns does although conditions apply.
What happens if the hire car breaks down?
In the event of a breakdown, we provide FREE 24-hour RACQ roadside assistance with every car hire. Should you have any car problems then just call us on our 24-hour telephone number and we will organize RACQ roadside assistance. When you take out a car hire we provide you with the details of our RACQ policy so that you may call the RACQ toll-free number yourself. If the car problem is a result of your doing then you will be charged the RACQ call-out fee of $95 plus any extras applicable.
Do you have a petrol policy?
All Day Car Rentals Cairns provides a full tank of petrol when you pick up your hire car and we expect the tank to be full when the hire car is returned. Any car rental vehicle returned to us without a full tank will incur a refuelling charge of $50 and the cost of refuelling the vehicle.
How far advanced do I need to book a car hire?
During our busy season, April to December and during school holidays we advise that you book at least 2 weeks ahead to make sure the rental vehicle you want is available.
Can I go on dirt tracks in the hire car?
No. Our rental cars must be kept on bitumen road surfaces at all times unless you have hired a 4WD.
